Camille Esterman

moved to SaddleBrooke Ranch in 2017 and was promptly recruited to succeed SBCO’s long-time treasurer, Anne Everett. She shadowed Anne and became her de facto assistant treasurer. From 2018 through 2024 she served as treasurer. After  her husband Joe’s passing, Camille was ready to step away from the treasurer position and in the fall of 2025 actively helped with the transition to a new financial management team. In addition to her duties as treasurer, Camille helped with the annual Food Drive and Teen Closet, attended scholarship events, served on committees, helped inventory clothing at Kids’ Closet, assisted the Scholarship Endowment committee, and “helped whenever my financial skills were needed.”

Jo Sauvageau

Over the past 20 years Jo has been a clothing buyer for Kids’ Closet. Recently she has also become part of the warehouse team, helping to replenish clothing bins in the Kids’ Closet “shopping” area and keeping an eye on potential shortfalls. In addition to her work with Kids’ Closet, Jo has worked on the annual SBCO Food Drive and served as a docent for the annual Home Tour. In December 2023 she began serving as the SBCO representative on the Golden Goose’s board of directors.  As of July 1, 2026, she will begin a two-year term as the president of the board.

Marilyn Christensen

After spending 28 years teaching special needs high school students, Marilyn moved to SaddleBrooke and in 1998 began volunteering for Kids’ Closet. In the early days, volunteering involved carrying supplies to the distribution site, along with setting up and tearing down for each fall and spring session. Initially she worked as a dresser, helping the students select clothing and shoes. Over time, she became a day manager, a role that involves receiving the list of students coming to the Closet for a session, preparing a shopping sheet and bag for each child, conducting the volunteer meeting, checking to ensure each child leaves with a complete wardrobe, and checking the volunteers in and out. Basically, she is the “go to” person for the day, resolving any issues and helping ensure the kids and volunteers have a good experience.

Jeanette first began volunteering for SBCO as a receptionist in the office in 2004. For a few years, she served as the scheduler for the Monday volunteers at Kids’ Closet and then became a clothing buyer for several years. This role involved ordering clothing, underwear, and socks for the Closet, working with vendors to ensure on-time delivery, making emergency buys when shipments were delayed, monitoring inventory and traveling to Las Vegas for buying trips. Jeanette’s SBCO volunteer work also has included several years delivering the SaddleBrooke Source Book to her unit and other units as necessary. For many years, she has served on the golf cart patrol during the Walk for Kids and as a docent during the annual Home Tour.
