Meet Our Scholarship Recipients
For over two decades, SaddleBrooke Community Outreach has helped over 500 graduates of public high schools in our service area achieve their educational and career goals through multi-year scholarships. These impressive young people have gone on to meaningful careers, and in many cases break the cycle of poverty. We’d like you to meet some recent scholarship recipients.
Carson Keagan
Pursuing a degree in software engineering with a minor in game design and development in the Honors College at the University of Arizona.
“Thanks to the SaddleBrooke Community Outreach Scholarship Award I have been able to focus entirely on my studies without the added pressure of working, which has allowed me to better adapt to the Honors College and engineering curriculum. I’ve had the chance to form meaningful connections with other engineering students, live in the Honors Village, and fully immerse myself in my academic and personal growth.”
Gabriella Gonzalez
Attending Howard College in Big Spring, Texas on a softball scholarship with plans to transfer to a four-year school upon graduation to pursue a degree in elementary education.
“Receiving the SBCO Scholarship has been a pivotal factor in achieving my college education. It has reduced the financial burden, allowing me to focus more on my studies and less on how to pay for the tuition and other expenses. This support has allowed me to take full advantage of academic opportunities, participate in extracurricular activities, and gain experiences that I might have otherwise missed out on. This scholarship has not only helped me reach this point but has also inspired me to give back and support others in their educational journey.”
Brooke Kelley
Ray High School graduate and student at Arizona State University
“The SBCO scholarship has given me the financial support and confidence to fully focus on my education and career goals. It’s opened doors to opportunities like my internship and has helped me stay motivated to succeed in the Construction Management program.”
Brooke is excelling in the Construction Management program at ASU, earning a 3.9 GPA, and securing a summer internship with the prestigious Whiting-Turner Contracting Company in Phoenix. Her drive and hard work, and the financial assistance of a four-year scholarship from SBCO, help assure that Brooke will achieve her career goals.
